No low blows by ScottJax?? Baseball Classic?? Cashman, Indiana and more in this weeks edition of…..
If you look at this picture of Virginia fans storming the court you will see a line of yellow shirts. They were there to protect Duke players and coaches, so I don’t get coach K’s beef.
I just want to touch on something that hit a raw nerve in my body.
One of our Gabbers, commented on how it has to be tough for pro athletes to be on the road all the time.
This set me off. I replied:
“I want to try and be polite about this, but I have no sympathy for high priced athletes who are away from their families for the most at least a week at a time at great pay. I was in the military for 20 years and many a time I was away overseas for a minimum of 6 months at a time at a fraction of what an athlete gets paid. I never complained, never wished I had another job, I just did what I had to do. But no, no sympathy for the athletes please.
I forgot to say that an athletes flies in private planes, stay at 1st class hotels, eat at fancy restaurants and can be with their families if they want (families at players expense, but they can afford it).
What a tough life.…”
What are your thoughts???
I have been watch the World Baseball Classic. Let’s face it, I am up in the middle of the night and there are no live sports events on, just repeats, so I turn the channel to the Major League Baseball channel and watch a live sporting event.
Keith Olbermann wants to come back to ESPN desperately according to inside reports.
Congrats go out to Gonzaga for being #1 in the nation for the first time. It is refreshing to know that any college basketball team can become number one.
Bah humbug, to college football for not being the same as basketball. No matter how good a small market team is there is not chance to be number one.
Yankees GM, Brian Cashman, broke his angle while skydiving with the Golden Knights of the U.S. Army. Brian, who has done weird things before, made the jump to help raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Cashman did note before the jump "I would say it's harder probably to be GM of the Yankees than jump out of an airplane.''
Oklahoma Thunder fan sinks half court shot. Pause the clip at the 14 second mark and look at the scoreboard. The man’s name is Heath Kufahl’s and is a teacher and his wife, who is shown on the video scoreboard is named Jenni, she has cancer.
If you paste this clip you can see the interview with Heath and Henni.
Nice hit by Serge Ibaka on Blake Griffin. That took a lot of “balls”, oops sorry for the pun, to do.
Hey Indiana, how about having senior night festivities before the game starts, rather than when the game is over after a loss. Kind of takes the starch right out of the moment doesn’t it??
