Welcome to the tantrums, where screw it - on the day for love, it’s time to call out some folks.

Before I start this first rant, I want to have a disclaimer.  Ahem:  My guess is that Jud won’t like this and to him and his family I say this – I’m truly sorry that I’m going here, but I feel I have to stick up for the place that Jud helped build.

I would have thought that after four years or so, the hard feelings between TSN bloggers would have subsided. It appears that isn't the case.

I am glad we had this weekend to celebrate Jud, I think it was needed and from what I can tell many of us spent a lot of time contemplating various different things, and that’s good – I mean really good.  I know I certainly did.  I think it went real well until Sunday when an old “contemporary” of ours came on here to pay respects only to backhand the site while doing it.  Look Backell, out of respect to Jud and his family, I didn’t go there on that blog, but here now is my take – you don’t like us and that’s totally fine – I get it and you know what?  I even respect it because we ain’t everybody’s cup of tea – but for you to take a whack at the Gab during a remembrance of a guy everybody loved at a place he had a significant part of helping to build?  That’s about as low-rent as you can get. 

It’s common courtesy during a remembrance that you drop the attitudes and come correct in celebration and remembrance - if the roles were reversed, wherever you blog would expect nothing less.  You want to bash?  Fine – this is the Gab and nobody is censored, in fact if you have the guts, come in here and start blogging – I FREAKING DARE YOU!!!

Yeah, yeah…I can hear folks in cyber-land saying “that’s just the thin skin of the hot heads at the Gab”.  First off, to those folks I say PISS OFF!  The proprietors here encouraged folks to come in and say their peace about Jud.  What ended up happening was somebody with an axe to grind busting some balls and causing a MINOR uproar on a remembrance blog.  Hey Backell, Jud gave a lot of himself to the TSN family whether we were Gabbers, TSBNers, Macappers, or whatever other blog site came up after the breakup - there was no freaking reason to do what you did!  I truly hope you weren't trying to start shit!

Rant of the Week – NBA on TNT.       

First off Shaq, you HATE Sacramento that is well known and trust me fat boy the feeling is mutual here – we HATE you too!  I honestly wish that when Doug Christie got done using sissy-boy Rick Fox’s head for a punching bag that he would have bitch-slapped you because your ignorant, disrespectful ass needs it.  By the way Shaq, because I know it pisses you off no end – Los Angeles Lakers, 2002 NBA Champions (ASTERISK)! 

Kenny Smith, you’re two NBA championships you always wanna brag about, thank Hakeem Olajuwon because you didn’t do jack!  You wanna run smack about the Kings, but you have no credibility when you lose a basketball game to some boy-band scrub (Timberlake)?  Keep trying to scream over the two fat boys to get noticed.

Music of the Week – Whitney Houston.  Many remember Super Bowl 25 and Scott Norwood’s wide kick that prevented Buffalo from winning the Super Bowl.  I choose to remember that as the day Whitney Houston brought Americans together like few have done.  Her rendition of the National Anthem is something that to this day stirs something within me.  Her music was special to me.

On Saturday, Whitney Houston was found dead at age 48 due to what appears to be a mix of legal prescription drugs and alcohol.  I don’t excuse the demons, and I have to ask this question by taking a line from one of her songs:  "Didn't you (instead of we) almost have it all".  Translated:  How in the hell could this happen to that talented woman?  For the purposes of discussion here, I only remember that voice, and what a beautiful voice it was.  I've played it before, I'll play it again, and here it's appropriate:

May you now RIP Whitney Houston.  

The Grammys.  On principle, I don't watch this freaking train wreck because quite honestly, Musicians take themselves far too seriously and the reality is that half the music they celebrate sucks.  But since I'm ranting, I have heard from various people that Don Cornelius, who I talked about last week, wasn't celebrated at the Grammys?  This dude did a lot for music and I'm left wondering how he was ignored?

NBA.  Try as I might to stay away from the league of douchebags, how can you NOT talk about Jeremy Lin and his trashing the Black Mamba and the HATED Los Angeles Lakers?  You know this story isn’t going to end well when Carmelo Anthony comes back from injury and ball hawgs, but I think this kid has something special that if the idiot players would pull their head out of their ass long enough .    

This has been an absolutely shitty week for many reasons, both personal and professional, so I'm gonna cut it short.  But before I do, I wanna say to all the ladies out there, especially Mrs. B.O.B. who has put up with my horseshit for many years - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
